Killer Robots?!?

AI, short for Artificial Intelligence was coined in 1971. The Three Laws of Robotics were introduced earlier in 1942. But Greek mythology already had Talos, a bronze automaton, a self operating machine. Self-moving and solely guarding the island Crete, patrolling the beaches three times daily. While guarding, Talos threw boulders at approaching ships and would super heat his bronze hands before grabbing hold of men that risked traversing his beachhead. Like the pattern of artificial intelligences in fiction following Frankenstein: "Robots were created and destroyed their creator; robots were created and destroyed their creator; robots were created and destroyed their creator—" *(1)
